Exploring the NC500 with MPB

In the autumn of 2022, I spent just over a week exploring the North Coast 500 and the Outer Hebrides, where MPB challenged me to swap out my usual gear setup for something completely different. For those of you who know me, I have used prime lenses pretty much since I started photography, and have therefore never really been given the opportunity to try out a zoom setup. However, MPB were kind enough to loan me the Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 and the 70-200mm f/2.8 to use across some of the most epic landscapes that the Scottish Highlands has to offer. Having the versatility to cover these focal ranges with just a single lens was something that caught my attention straight away, mostly because I was seeing completely new compositions and perspectives to locations that I might have ordinarily missed with my prime lens set up.

This project was a social campaign, where I created a short highlight reel, along with a series of high resolution images from the trip.
